Our lecturers will guide your visitors or employees through the water journey in a fun and interactive way, focusing on water issues in the city or the behaviour and distribution of water in the landscape.
The H2Ospodar! association organizes popularization stands with the theme of water conservation. Everything is demonstrated on large interactive models. The models are manned by our lecturers - people who are like fish in water. Our main goal is to build respect for water in general and to show how to manage it in a water-saving way.
The interactive station with an area of about 3×6 meters is always provided by two or three lecturers. Under their guidance, visitors can try out the laws of water flow in the landscape, as well as the possibilities of water conservation in the home or calculating their water footprint, etc.
We currently offer three concepts for the interactive stand, namely The Water Way, Water in the City and Water in the Landscape.
The way of water
When we get up in the morning, we make breakfast, brush our teeth, take a shower and head off to school or work. But we rarely think about how drinking water is produced and how it gets into our homes. Participants will find out where the drinking water we each use - around 100 litres a day - comes from and where it ends up. They will take away specific tips on how to better manage water.
Water in the city
Participants will get a closer look at the blue-green infrastructure that is an integral part of cities. They will learn where water is found everywhere in our cities, what its role is in different parts of the city and how we can work with it, for example at home, to improve the microclimate in our neighbourhood. We will talk about what the municipal council can do to ensure that the water in the city is managed sustainably.
Water in the landscape
Participants will learn how the distribution of water on our planet works and why it is necessary to save water, even though our planet is "blue". Participants will use illustrative models to experience landscape features and their ability to retain water. They will understand how important it is to manage the landscape in a sustainable way and will learn concrete ways in which the landscape can be changed by humanity, but also by them as individuals directly in their immediate surroundings.
