Water Footprint Calculator
When we talk about using and saving water, we all think of water in the home - the drinking water that flows when we turn on the tap, take a shower or flush the toilet. But the home is not the only place where we use water.
Water is essential for the production of almost everything we use on a daily basis. For example, the water that plants or animals need to grow, the water used in industrial production or the water needed for cooling in electricity generation.
The amount of water we need to maintain our lifestyle is far greater than the amount that flows in the bathroom, even if we never see it. The water footprint method tries to calculate the total amount of water we use directly and indirectly.
